However, Kung Fu Panda 3 is a fun all around movie and if nothing else a pleasing entry into the universe that’s 90 more minutes of Jack Black inhabiting a character in a way quite unlike any other voice actor continues to be able to achieve in the world that is digital. As far as visuals go, the cartoon here was top notch and I have a hard time recalling a picture that made such good use of 3D. The colors were magnificent and there was such depth to every small detail that it’s hard to imagine Dreamworks improving on the degree of the cartoon here… just incredible. Kate Hudson as Mei Mei is largely forgotten in Kung Fu Panda 3. Maybe they’re saving her for the following picture. It also addresses Kung Fu Panda’s continuing search for who he is. Really enjoyable and worth seeing if you bypass Kung Fu Panda 2.

Another reason they took some time away, from what I can gather, is that Dreamworks Animation in the USA determined to collaborate to produce this picture, which, in my own opinion, strengthened the entire quality of the film.
